MCT held its third fundraising concert on Friday 14th November following the success of the two previous years events!
This yearâs concert was particularly special, as three of our Moroccan colleagues were over in the UK visiting MCT, Abdellah, Soumya, and Touria. Abdellah started the evening off by giving a fantastic speech and introduction to the work of MCT and our partner organisation, FAPE. Soumya and Touria helped with the refreshments throughout of the evening with our UK team serving Moroccan cakes, biscuits and pancakes which they had baked especially, as well a preparing traditional Moroccan tea.
We had some truly wonderful music this year, with recitals from Kate Conway, Rosemary Taylor, Lucia DâAvanzo, Katherine Waller, Quartz Duo, Hassan El Hamdani and a choir of ex-Cambridge choral scholars singing close harmony. MCT would like to thank all of the musicians who kindly gave their time to perform beautiful music at the concert, and we would of course like to thank Nicola Hands, a member the MCT management committee, who did a fantastic job coordinating the concert – yet again we could not have done it without her.
This year, the concert raised just over of £1,000 for MCT!
Thank you to all those who came to the concert, and to St Jamesâ Church for accommodating us and helping us prepare for the event â you all helped to make the evening a true success.
