MCT held its first concert fundraiser last Saturday with great success!
In the beautiful setting of St. James Church in Lancaster Gate (Paddington, London) several performers delighted the audience with a varied and beautiful programme of classical music. Additionally, three members of the five-member Moroccan band Harir gave an acoustic performance of traditional Moroccan music.
MCT genuinely thanks and all of the musicians who participated in the event: Clara Pérez Sedano (oboist), José Cayetano Ramìrez D’az (oboist), Anna Harvey (mezzo soprano), Nick Fletcher (pianist), Rosemary Taylor (clarinet), Sam Hanson (pianist), Benjamin Bruant (guitarist), Dana Joras (flutist), Harir Band, and many former singers of the Jesus College choir of Cambridge University (Rachel Atwell, Letty Thomas, Davina Barron, Matthew Horrocks, Nicholas Dore, Alex Palmer, Freddie Hutchins, Alex Boyd, Joachim Cassel). A very special thank you to Nicola Hands, one of the members of the MCT team who coordinated the event, performed in the oboe trio and sang in the choir.
In addition, those who donated raffle items, Vicar Paul Thomas of St. James Church and all the attendees of the evening made the event a success, helping MCT to raise over £1,400 to go directly to running our Street Children Project in southern Morocco.
Thank you to all for your generosity to our work in Taroudant – we hope that you join us in making this concert event into an annual fundraiser!
