MCT has just said “bon voyage” to three GMH visitors Abdellah, Abdellah and Karima who have spent a very successful month in London.
Our GMH visitors arrived in London at the very beginning of August and spent the first two weeks of their visit enjoying some of Londonâs best-known landmarks and museums (including the Science Museum and Big Ben) before spending the second half of their trip working as volunteers on the Klevis Kola summer scheme. They also visited the Al-Manaar Mosque and were impressed by the wide variety of activities and services on offer there.
The GMH visit to London provided the perfect opportunity for collaborative work on some of the finer details of the Street Children Project, due to be launched next month, and Abdellah, Abdellah and Karima were able to attend several meetings with experts who gave them lots of ideas for successfully implementing various aspects of the project: advice on setting up a mentoring scheme and on recognising and dealing with learning difficulties should certainly prove useful.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to making the trip a success and we look forward to returning the visit in the coming months.
