10[1] Last year MCT received a call from an organisation called SATUC (Sheikha Al Thani for Underprivileged children) who are organising for the second time an international championship which brings together youth who have already faced challenges and adversity in their lives from 8 different countries to take part in a friendly football championship in Cairo. The event will take place between the 28th August and 3rd September 2015 and is an opportunity for these young boys to unite with others through sport.
We are all wishing our team of 8 boys all the best in the tournament. All of them participate in various degrees within the services we offer at Centre Amane and are extremely excited to be taking part not only in the event, but also to have the opportunity to travel.

Our FAPE colleague, Abdellah Lamine, has taken on the role of full time football coach and has been preparing the team for their trip. Another source of some excitement at Centre Amane, Aziz Bouderbala, former Moroccan national and international footballing star, is joining us as our team Ambassador, very apt considering his personal family connections with Taroudannt. Aziz just visited the team on Sunday, 24th May, to meet and play with the team and see the work currently happening at Centre Amane. It promises to be the start of a long-term relationship between Aziz and MCT.
MCT also hopes this will be the start of a fruitful and lasting partnership with SATUC that will support our work at Centre Amane.
