This year we had a change of format for our annual gala party and we are happy to say it was a great success. Alongside the traditional aspects such as the delicious three course meal, eclectic auction prizes and raffle, this year we were able to enjoy entertainment from Magic Noor and music from three brilliant performers – Simo Lagnawi, Ahmed Soultan and Cheb Nacim.
Simo Lagnawi wowed us with his unique London brand of Gnawa music and culture. This was followed by Taroudannt born Ahmed Soultan singing ‘unplugged’ and the evening finished with lots of dancing to the music of talented Algerian singer Cheb Nacim.
We are grateful to everyone who came out for our Moroccan Party Night on June 4th. True to form, the evening brought many different supporters and friends together in the aim of building brighter futures for children in Morocco. It was a chance to celebrate the work we have done as well as an opportunity to raise vital funds to continue our work.
We hope that many of you will be able to join us for the next events on our fundraising calendar. Please look out for our annual concert on 19th November and various events coming up in coordination with Mina from the British Moroccan Society. You can find out more about events on our Facebook and website events page.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
