On the 9th March MCT will be co-hosting a Moroccan hafla (party) with our sister charity, the Klevis Kola Foundation. KKF supports refugee and asylum-seeking families in the UK and helps them to play their full part in the community. The event is taking place in Tooting at All Saints Church Hall from 6-9:30pm and the entrance is on Brudenell Road.

So, consider yourselves formally invited for a buffet of traditional Moroccan salads, tagine, couscous, sweets and mint tea! There will also be Moroccan music and a raffle for you to win prizes 🙂 The food is being provided by the Women’s Catering Project, which is run by  KKF and brings together local women to share their diverse culinary heritages and learn new recipes. The group will soon open its own local catering business so you’ll be able to try delicious meals cooked by women from Somalia, Morocco and the Congo in the near future. Watch this space!

All proceeds from the night will go towards both charities’ social and community initiatives in South London and South Morocco.

Tickets are only £15 per person (£10 concession) and are available to book by emailing kleviskola@gmail.com or calling 020 8355 3410, or you can buy them on the door.
