Work at MCT’s Centre for Street Children in Taroudannt, Morocco, has now been underway for more than a month.

Our three full-time social workers, who are based at the Centre, are already undertaking a wide range of tasks including visiting families in their own homes, welcoming families to the centre, accompanying children on healthcare visits and running sports activities. The Centre has so far elicited an extremely positive response from the community it was set-up to help, with 41 families enrolled in our project. To celebrate the opening of the Street Children Centre, many of those families took part in a large dinner, generously sponsored by a friend of the organisation. The children of the project have also received gifts of school exercise books, pens and pencils, whilst plenty of winter clothing is on its way, thanks to another local organisation.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed to getting the Centre up and running.
