As many of you are aware, MCT is organising a group of 15 enthusiastic trekkers (beginner level) up to the challenge of climbing Mount Toubkhal in Morocco as part of MCT’s biggest fundraiser for our Street Children Project in Taroudannt!
We still need to fill spots by the end of August to join this group in 6 days of trekking in the Atlas Mountains – April 19-27, 2013. Flying into Marrakech, we’ll hit the trails toward Taroudannt, arriving for a visit with the team and the project, and flying out of Agadir. A lovely time of year to be there, we will wind our way with local guides through Oukaimden, Imsker, Imi Oughlad, Tizi Oussem, Tizi Mzik, Imlil, Nelter, and Toubkhal â the tallest peak in North Africa.
The other part of the challenge is raising money for a worthy cause while you’ve at it! MCT is asking that group members commit to a goal of £2000. Nearly half will have to go toward all in-country costs, including flights. The other half will go directly to the Street Children Project. MCT will help you fundraise to reach each individual’s goal but providing support from a UK-based organisation working to help us achieve this challenge.
First, we need committment by the end of AUGUST in order to proceed with the exciting plans! If you have any questions, please contact MCT at moroccanchildrenstrust@gmail.com.
